How to grow a successful startup business through effective marketing and funding strategies.
During this 2 hour workshop, Jon Nicholls from Blue Biz Consultancy and Claire Mathieson from Master Digital will be giving start up owners and entrepreneurs the tips and tools they need to take their business to the next level. This will include advice on writing a business plan, sources of finance, crowd funding, building and implementing a low cost marketing strategy and content marketing.

About the speakers
Jon Nicholls is a qualified Accountant, coach / mentor and NLP practitioner. He set up his own coaching and business consultancy in 2006, inspiring and helping many SMEs to grow and flourish. He has a good grasp of what companies need to go through to grow their business.
Within the last two years, Jon has helped over 80 organisations to apply for and obtain finance for their business. The finance obtained ranges from grants and loans through to private equity and crowd funding and a successful public flotation.
Apart from running his own consultancy practice, he is a qualified trainer and presenter in Financial matters, a qualified project manager and has an MBA in business administration.
Jon is a NED to several companies and is co-owner of two very successful businesses.
Claire Mathieson is the founder of Master Digital, a company that helps small businesses take control of their digital marketing by training them to set up and execute their own digital marketing strategy. Master Digital offers one-to-one tailor-made training for all levels of digital knowledge (complete beginners welcome!) including courses in content marketing, online advertising, social media, etc…
Claire has experience training and creating custom courses in digital marketing for small and large clients such as Dolce and Gabbana, Intercontinental Hotels Group, HKU (Hong Kong University) and HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology). She has in-depth knowledge in a variety of sectors including food & beverage, fashion, beauty, technology and education.
